About the Program

What Students Learn

Most instruction is conducted on the firing range at 25 yards using reduced-size targets to simulate 100 to 400 yards.

Project Appleseed Heritage Program

Project Appleseed’s heritage program vividly portrays the Battles of Lexington and Concord.

Participants are introduced to the danger, fear, sacrifices, and difficult choices faced on April 19th, 1775, while learning how marksmanship and organization helped shape the nation.

Students gain a stronger understanding of both American history and practical rifle skills.

Rifle Marksmanship Instruction

Participants are taught fundamental rifle marksmanship skills intended to help a rifleman be accurate out to 400 yards using iron sights, a standard rifle, and surplus ammunition.

Students learn standing, sitting, and prone shooting positions, along with safe gun handling and proper sling use.
