Range Officer Training
Being a WAC Range Officer (RO) is one of the most important volunteer roles at the club. ROs maintain a safe shooting environment on all public ranges and support all shooting disciplines offered.
Training Overview
- 📅 1st Saturday of every month
- 🕗 Starts at 8:00 AM
- 📍 South Classroom (behind clubhouse)
- 💲 Free for all WAC Members
About the Range Officer Program
WAC Range Officers are easily identified on the range by their orange or red hats and play a key role in ensuring safe firearm handling, proper range procedures, and a structured shooting environment.
Responsibilities
- Maintain safe shooting conditions on all public ranges
- Enforce range rules and safety procedures
- Assist shooters and supervise firing lines
- Support matches and club events
