Range Officer Training

Being a WAC Range Officer (RO) is one of the most important volunteer roles at the club. ROs maintain a safe shooting environment on all public ranges and support all shooting disciplines offered.

Training Overview

  • 📅 1st Saturday of every month
  • 🕗 Starts at 8:00 AM
  • 📍 South Classroom (behind clubhouse)
  • 💲 Free for all WAC Members

About the Range Officer Program

WAC Range Officers are easily identified on the range by their orange or red hats and play a key role in ensuring safe firearm handling, proper range procedures, and a structured shooting environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain safe shooting conditions on all public ranges
  • Enforce range rules and safety procedures
  • Assist shooters and supervise firing lines
  • Support matches and club events

  • WAC range commands and procedures
  • Conflict management and safety enforcement
